Clergy Resources

The Samaritan Counseling Center recently received a grant to provide some innovative programs for pastors and congregations. I am writing to tell you about several of our programs.

Clergy Leadership Group: A monthly group to discuss leadership issues and challenges within your ministry setting. Please follow the link for information regarding this group.

Prepare Enrich Seminar: A program for pre-married couples, and married couples to help them identify and work with strengths and grow areas within their relationship. This training prepares you to utilize five inventories, three for premarriage, one for marriage, and one for couples over the age of 50.

Critical Incident Debriefings in Congregations: Provides a debriefing following a time of tragedy, significant loss, or trauma. Provides tools for healing and self-care for clergy and congregational members.

Congregational Prevention and Intervention: A consultant works with you congregation and leadership to identify early issues or concerns along with strengths and passions of the congregation.

Conflict Management Skills Training: Training for congregations and pastors in effective strategies of dealing with conflict. Explores ways of understanding and transforming the congregation.

Parish Protection Program: Obtain all the tools necessary to develop a parish protection program within your congregation. Covers screening, background checks, training, and supervision of staff and volunteers and appropriate polices to protect your congregation and the children you minister too.
