Workshops are for couples of all denominations and will focus on healthy values in marriage. Programs are staffed by
Samaritan Counseling staff and educators. Couples who have participated in the Couples Workshop praise its value for their relationship.

Samaritan Counseling Center offers three Couples Workshop options.
Option One (Silver)
- Join your partner in a 6-hour Workshop with other couples too
- Learn communication skills
- Understand healthy conflict management choices
- Explore family of origin
- Look at financial issues
- Discuss intimacy issues
- Focus on Christian perspectives of marriage
- Share values
Cost: $95 per couple.
Option Two (Gold)
You and your partner will complete the Prepare Inventory and receive three separate hours of feedback with a professional Christian counselor. The Prepare Inventory is a nationally used pre-marriage inventory, confidentially scored on a computer. The Prepare Inventory helps you focus on both strength and growth areas in your relationship:
- Communication
- Conflict management
- Personality issues
- Financial management
- Leisure activities
- Sexual expectations
- Family and friends
- Role relationship
- Children and parenting
- Spiritual beliefs
- Family-of-origin issues
After you take the Inventory and it is computer scored, you will have three visits to review your profile and work with a professional Christian Counselor. (Some insurance policies may cover the counseling time involved with the counselor.)
Cost: $315 per couple.
Option Three (Platinum)
This option combines Option One and Option Two and saves you $50. You join with other couples to learn communication skills; understand healthy conflict management; explore your families of origin; look at financial concerns; discuss intimacy issues; share values; and focus on Christian perspectives of marriage.
Cost: $360 per couple.
Your marriage is the most important investment of your life. Good marriages don’t just happen, you must prepare for them. National statistics warn that over 50% of first-time marriages will end in divorce and two-thirds of second time marriages will end in divorce. You can reverse this tend by investing in your relationship.
All workshops are held on a Saturday in area churches – we will let you know the location when you register.
